Make it better! Design for 5 bucks project
Watching the ideo deep dive video i learned to never turn down an idea. I saw how real designers worked in groups and what they did to come up with the best design. The most important thing i learned that is no idea is too crazy and every idea helps to develop the final prototype. Every idea is a good idea and you shouldn't turn something down even if it seems silly.

Why my object is a good object
The first thing that stood out to me with this particular staple is its ability to stand up on its end. This keeps it from falling over, getting knocked of a desk, or lost. Being able to stand up in a two-inch by two-inch area also saves a lot of space on a desk. The second thing I noticed is the shape of the stapler. The stapler being curved the way it is allows it to fit perfectly in your hand making it very functional and easy to staple. The handle also has some padding that reminds me a lot of the bike handles they used in one of the objects being designed in the move Objectified. These two components make this stapler the best working stapler I’ve used, and are the reasons I chose this as my object.

Objectified
Most of this video focused on my intended major, industrial design, which made it very interesting to me. It was exciting to see the industrial designers in their work environment because I was able to imagine myself their working with them. I like how they took simple solutions to make a product much easier to use. The video also did a great job communicating what it is to be a designer. The different designers gave their definitions and theories of what good design is to them. Though the designers all talked about nearly the same things, each designer saw slightly different things to be important for good design. This made each designer’s work unique, which I found interesting. I don’t know what it is yet that I would like to spend my time improving the design of, but that’s why I think industrial design is so great. In the video they ranged from designing gardening tools to living room furniture. I think its cool to think about how everything around us is designed like the video said. I learned that good design is simple and is only includes what is necessary. They said so many different words that described design in the video that I don’t even remember them. This video was well worth watching and I enjoyed it.
